Pop-Up Performances
Pop-Up performances give choruses and quartets the opportunity to perform indoors at many leading hotels, MONA, Hobart International Airport, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG), and shopping centres. Outdoor venues include Salamanca Market, Salamanca Square and Elizabeth Street Mall.
Pop-Up performances will be from 15-20 minutes in any location.
Most locations are within walking distance of the Hobart GPO.
We will allocate venues that are considered suitable as far as possible to the times you choose. You may choose to nominate several different performance slots.
We are providing Pop-Up performance opportunities in various time slots on Friday only.

Barbershop Mingle
All Quartets, whether or not you are competing in Hobart are invited to indicate their intention to perform at the Barbershop Mingle from 7:30pm on Wednesday 2 November 2022 In The Hanging Garden Cathedral, 112 Murray Street, Hobart. This is a chance for as many quartets we can possibly cram in to hit out before the big contest in a friendly, informal atmosphere. As we would like to give as many quartets as possible the opportunity to perform, all quartets will be restricted to performing one song only. Interested quartets should register here to reserve their singing spot.
Chorus Corral
Choruses attending the Hobart Festival are invited to indicate their intention to appear in the traditional Chorus Corral from 2.00pm on Friday 4th of November 2022 in the Theatre Royal. This is a chance for around 17 Choruses to perform in a friendly, informal atmosphere whether or not they are registered to compete in the National Contest on Saturday. Choruses who would like to sing one or two non-competition songs at this event should register here to reserve their spot on stage
